t.a.k.e defense training program

Dusti scheduled out monthly girl's outing at a really cool event. It's an event that teaches young girls and women self defense - not to be violent, but to be aware of your surroundings and possibly help get out of a tough situation if you ever encounter one. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when we arrived to the Matt Ross Community Center, I was overwhelmed with how many women were there. There had to be over 100 women with ages ranging from 12 to 90 years old! The program started with Ali Kemp's father telling the reasons why he started this program - which was extremely heartbreaking to hear. We then spent the next hour and a half learning various moves and practicing them on each other. I have to make sure I practice with Nathan at home to get the real effect of what I would encounter. Check out Ali's story here. You can also get involved in this free class yourself by signing up here. It's great information and you have nothing to lose!

Dusti and her daughter. Thanks for setting this up!
